STEPS TO APPLY
STEP 1 - MAKING CONTACT
Campus placements are open to people who meet the Eligibility Criteria. If you think that Live N Learn is for you, then contact us and ask for an application pack. A teacher, student counsellor, youth worker, caseworker, key worker or another professional will need to support your application.
You may also wish to meet with us beforehand and have a look at what we have to offer. You can do this by ringing (02) 9608 5401 and speaking with the Campus personnel to arrange a tour.
STEP 2 - APPLICATION PACK
When you receive the application pack it will ask you to fill in an application and assessment form. We will also ask the person who is supporting your application to complete a referral form. Return both forms to us in an envelope marked confidential.
If you have any questions phone the Campus personnel on the above number, or you can email info@livenlearn.com.au
The Campus personnel will:
- Check your circumstances against the eligibility criteria
- Assess your ability to live in a campus community
Remember you can ask questions at any time and your details are strictly confidential and will not be distributed to other agencies. You can also withdraw your application at any time.
STEP 3 - INTERVIEW
If your application is suitable, we will arrange a time for you to come to the campus for an interview with two members of staff. This is a chance for us to meet you and to discuss face to face your personal situation and a chance for you to voice your expectations, hopes and concerns. We will also discuss finances and the bond deposit payment and give you assistance and advice on this.
MOVING IN
If you decide you want to be a resident at Miller Campus and we feel you would fit into the campus community, we will contact you to arrange a date and time for you to move in and bring your belongings to the campus.
Important: Remember you will need to pay your bond on the day you move in.

- You will arrange with your Campus Worker a convenient time to review your short term goals on a weekly basis for the first six weeks.
- You will have the opportunity to identify, with the assistance of a Campus Worker, suitable campus programs and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
- A chance to meet residents and participate in social activities.
- At the end of the 12 weeks, you and your Campus Worker will review your progress and contribution to the campus community and if you feel you are getting the most out of the campus environment and Campus staff agree, an ongoing tenancy agreement will be confirmed.
